Whether coming from the West, North or East it would be prudent to avoid the A337 during daylight hours; accordingly, please take note of the recommended yellow routes on the map below:
From the East: Leave the M27 at Junction 2; take the A326 to the south. Pass over 4 roundabouts and onto a dual carriageway for a short distance. After the dual carriageway, take the 2nd turning to the right into Twiggs Lane. Follow this to the end; then turn left; pass the National Motor Museum on your left (approx 12 miles from the M27) and follow the signs to Lymington.
From the West: Leave the A31 at the Picket Post exit to the east of Ringwood. Follow signs to Burley, from Burley follow signs towards the village of Sway (but do not turn into the village), then follow the signs to Lymington.
Please observe the statutory speed limits when driving across the New Forest National Park for the protection of the animals which roam freely.
There is a branch line from Lymington Town station (5 minutes’ walk from Berthon) to Brockenhurst, on the main line to London Waterloo.
