Gemini 880, the ultimate adventure RIB

Gemini RIBs, exemplified by the custom-built Gemini 880 recently built for an experienced Irish customer, represent the pinnacle of adventure leisure boating, engineered for exploration in coastal and offshore waters. With its commercial-grade hull, this 8.8m RIB is a testament to unmatched durability and performance. Rigged with twin Yamaha 300hp outboard engines, it delivers remarkable power and handling even in the most challenging conditions. Capable of reaching speeds of up to 58 knots, it is a truly impressive hull and engine combination. Collaborating closely with the client throughout the specification and build process, every detail has been tailored to meet his individual requirements.

With a heritage rooted in offshore capability, this RIB is built to withstand the challenges of the marine environment. Equipped with a multitude of features, its grey hull is fitted with 1670 DTEX commercial-grade, seven-chamber Hypalon black tubes with dual heavy-duty rubbing strakes and a red stripe, with Leafield air and pressure release valves. The addition of heavy-wear black non-slip patches and grey grab lines from bow to stern further enhance its durability. Additional features include integrated bow locker, aluminium keel protector, stainless steel mooring posts and D-rings. The fuel system comprises twin 300 litre commercial-grade aluminium fuel tanks providing an impressive range for the twin 300hp Yamaha outboards.

Designed for exploration and offshore adventure, this Gemini features a stainless steel A-frame with a water sports towing point and integrated mooring cleats. The seating arrangement is optimised for comfort and functionality, with four Scot S2J jockey seats, polished wingbacks and Skydex shock mitigation inserts. The aft bench seat, complete with internal storage on gas struts, is finished in red Silvertex upholstery with Bentley stitching, adding a touch of sophistication to the onboard experience. To further the feeling of comfort, Evo synthetic teak decking assures this high spec finish.

Navigation and entertainment are seamlessly integrated into the RIB through Garmin electronics and a Fusion audio system. The Garmin navigation pack includes GPSMAP chart plotters, radar dome and VHF radio, with the addition of a Scanstrut wireless phone charger. Meanwhile, the Fusion Apollo MS-RA770 marine entertainment system, coupled with Fusion Signature Series LED marine speakers, delivers immersive audio experiences.

Completing the package is a comprehensive mooring and covers pack, along with an SBS R4 3500KG dual-axle braked road trailer, equipped with LED lighting board.
