Berthon, Lymington Marina are looking for a Seasonal Full Time Dockmaster to work from March to September inclusive. Berthon, Lymington Marina is a high profile, family owned Marina situated on the picturesque Lymington River, making it a popular visitor destination. The following attributes are essential for this role:

• Computer literacy using a variety of basic software including (Excel, Word and Outlook)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Confident and personable with a good telephone manner.
• Excellent levels of customer service, both written and verbal.
• A flexible approach to working, including a shift rota (including evening, weekend and public holiday shift patterns)
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and recording capabilities
• Ability to prioritise tasks and organise self and juniors in a fast moving environment

The following attributes are desirable for this role:

• Practical skills to carry out basic maintenance tasks
• Knowledge of the leisure marine industry

The following qualifications are desirable, but not essential for this role:

• First Aid.
• VHF Radio license.
• Powerboat Level 2.

Main Duties and responsibilities:

• Taking / recording berth bookings.
• Planning and allocating appropriate berths using e-harbours.
• Collecting a range of payments via EPOS systems.
• Holding and issuing keys in accordance with company policy.
• Carrying out a range of marina checks as directed by Senior Dockmasters and Marina Manager. Ensuring boats are adequately secured and safe.
• Carry out a detailed audit of boats within the Marina.
• Ensuring the safety of clients, staff and visitors on the marina.
• Operation of CCTV and IT systems inc WiFi.
• Retailing fuel and oil using correct and safe procedures, adhering to all HSE regulations.
• Sales of ice and laundry tokens.
• Ensuring all facilities remain in serviceable condition e.g. washrooms, laundry, car park barriers.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and secure working environment.
• Liaising with other in-house departments concerning boat movements.
• Event support where required.
